Pakistan: PTA updates list exempted from Type Approval/Certification

According to Notice 4.999/2018/PTA announced on Dec. 19, 2018, PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) updated Type Approval Regulations 2018 Annex-E, List of Items exempted from Type Approval/Certification of Compliance to Technical Standards.
  • Networking Equipment (Switches, Firewalls, Servers, Storage Devices).
  • Laptops / Desktops / Personal Computers (Non-Sim based devices).
  • Tablet PC with Wifi only Fucntionality (Non-Sim based devices).
  • GPS only devices.
  • Smart Watches with Bluetooth / Wifi functionality only (Without SIM or Tracking Features).
