Indonesia: New labelling regulation for telecommunication devices

  • According to this new regulation, cert holder must upload photos of approved telecommunication devices affixing conformity label, QR Code and warning sign within 30 working days after certificate issuance. Uploading system is launched. For devices approved after 1st of January 2019., certificate holders must upload required photos within 30 working days after certificate issuance.
  • All telecommunication devices need to comply this new labelling regulation since Jan. 1st, 2019. SDPPI verbally confirms that new labelling requirements are not applied to devices approved before 1st of January 2019.
  • The packaging of approved devices should present
    • QR code on the certificate, refer to photo 1.
    • Warning sign, refer to photo 2.
    • Short range devices are exempted from affixing warning sign.
    • SRD list is based on No 35 TAHUN 2015, and WIFI/Bluetooth is not included in this standard, it falls under No 28 T AHUN 2015 & No. 09 DIRJEN 2005, so Wifi/Bluetooth will be required to affix warning sign.
  • Conformity label sample
    • Certificate number, refer to photo 1.
    • PLG ID, refer to photo 1.
    • In case conformity label can’t be affixed on approved devices, it’s allowed to affix it on the packaging.
