Paraguay CONATEL Authorizes 6 GHz Band for Wi-Fi 6E
The Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones (CONATEL) of Paraguay published Resolución Directorio N° 1035/2025 on April 23, 2025, on the authorization of the 5925-6425 MHz band for low power wireless access systems. The 6 GHz sub-band 6425-7125 MHz is forbidden, and all Wi-Fi 6E devices in Paraguay must have this sub-band disabled. Manufacturers and Importers who are interested in including the Wi-Fi 6E feature in certificates of already approved products may request a partial modification to their current certificates.
Thailand TISI Updates Standards
The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) has updated the following standards:
- TIS 2134-2022 Air conditioners for rooms, energy efficiency – Effective starting April 4, 2026.
- TIS 2461-2565 Hot and cold water dispensers for consumption and cold water dispensers for consumption: safety only – Effective starting October 1, 2025.
- TIS 60335 Part 2(13)-2021 Safety of household electrical appliances and similar electrical appliances Part 2(13) Particular requirements for deep-frying appliances, frying pans and other similar electrical appliances – Effective starting October 1, 2025.
- TIS 60335 Part 2(23)-2021 Safety of household electrical appliances and similar electrical appliances Part 2(23) Specific requirements for electrical appliances for hair, fur or skin care – Effective starting October 1, 2025.
- TIS 60335 Part 2(25)-2022 Safety of household and similar electrical appliances – Part 2(25): Particular requirements for microwave ovens, including combination microwave ovens – Effective starting December 30, 2025.
- TIS 866 Vol. 30(101)-2018 Rotating electrical machinery Vol. 30(101) Efficiency classes of three-phase induction alternating current electric motors – Effective starting April 18, 2026.
- TIS 1436 Vol. 3-2021 Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies, Vol. 3 Power distribution boards intended for general use – Effective starting October 1, 2025.
Importers currently holding certificates or new local importers must follow these new standards for certification.
India NCCS Publishes ITSARs for IoT End Devices
The National Center for Communication Security (NCCS) of India published the following Indian Telecom Security Assurance Requirements (ITSARs) on April 21, 2025:

Vietnam MST Issues Circular on 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz Band Allocation
The Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) of Vietnam issued Circular No. 02/2025/TT-BKHCN on Radio Frequency Channel Allocation for 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz Bands on March 31, 2025. This new Circular will come into effect on May 15, 2025.
China MIIT Abolishes 2 Regulations on 40-50 GHz Band Use
The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China published a notice on March 17, 2025, announcing the decision to abolish the following regulations:
- →Notice on the Release of Frequency Use of Point-to-Point Wireless Access Systems in Fixed Services in the 40-50 GHz Frequency Band
- →Notice on the Release of Frequency Use of Broadband Wireless Access Systems in Mobile Services in the 40-50 GHz Frequency Band
This notice will come into effect on January 1, 2026, and after this point all radio management agencies will no longer accept and approve 40-50 GHz frequency band use for point-to-point wireless access systems in fixed services, and broadband wireless access system equipment in mobile services.
